Sleeping Under Louise

It actually snowed this morning. Big, rapid flakes. All gone by 10 a.m.

Billy was asleep on my bed all day (until he moved to She's bed.)

Miss T slept in the cat bed under Louise all day.

Louise is my dresser.

Thelma is the mirror on top of Louise.

Pancho always sleeps all day.

I had a delicious nap, myself, down comforter and dark-day cozy.

She went back to volunteering at the hospital this morning, and is presently making dinner.

All is well. Oh! And the rutabaga was quite good, mashed with some sour cream.

  1. This reminds me of one of my favorite children's books---"The Old Woman Who Named Things" by Cynthia Rylant. Of course, you're not old, but you do seem to have her spirit. She had a car named Betsy, a chair named Fred, and her bed was Roxanne. It's a wonderful book. Sometimes, I think children get all the best books.

    Louise is pretty.

  2. Children do get all the best books! I'm off to look up the Cynthia Rylant book right this minute.

  3. It just dawned on me that the Beth who commented above is "my" Beth of Blue Ridge Blue Collar Girl. Beth, I've been lurking on your blog for a long, long time and am delighted to finally meet you. The library is holding the Cynthia Rylant book for me. Thanks so much!

  4. Sharon, I'm pleased to meet you, too! Thanks for reading my blog. I hope you enjoy the book. (And, by the way, the woman in the story had a dresser named Bill.)
